We absolutely love a clean and smooth burn out of our candles, right?
I want to make sure you learn all the tips and tricks to make that happen, whether its a Wildscape Studios candle or even your favorite commercial store candle!
Tip of the week:
For the first burn (first light) of a candle, you should let it burn long enough for the melted wax pool to reach the edges of the container. This prevents tunneling and helps the candle burn evenly for the rest of its life.
CAREFULLY let your candle burn for 2- 3.5hrs based on size of you jar/vessel. Always keep an eye on your lit candles!
Important tips:
Don’t blow it out before the wax melts edge-to-edge.
Don’t burn longer than 4 hours at a time (for safety).
Trim the wick to ¼ inch before lighting.
This first burn essentially “sets the memory” of the wax, so if it tunnels the first time, it will usually keep tunneling.
Already have tunneling? Keep an eye out for more tips on how to fix it! Have a wonderful week!![]()
